After the high-level restructuring at Alibaba, the new CEO Eddie Wu issued a letter to all employees, warning them "The times are changing, and Alibaba must change too!". He emphasized the group's new strategic focus: “User first” and "AI-Driven". Under this strategic framework, Alibaba will focus on technology-driven internet platforms, AI-driven tech businesses, and a globalized business network.

Eddie Wu clearly stated that all business operations should be built upon providing value to users, and retaining these users is even more critical. Alibaba's goal is to transform the existing user scenarios into the best practice venues for AI technology, providing breakthrough user experiences through technological innovation.

Eddie Wu mentioned that within the next four years, Alibaba will promote those born after 1985 and 1990s to form the core of our business management teams.
